Local comedian: “So I’m single…”

I’ve been regularly performing sketch comedy, magic, and even ran a successful weekly variety show with Goldie Hoffman last summer at Skinny Fat Jack’s. But it has been at least six months since I’ve performed stand-up comedy.

My inspiration to write and perform stand-up has been scarce. Maybe it’s the lack of camaraderie I share with the local comics. Perhaps it’s the endless array of rape jokes and misogyny, something all too prevalent in the local Vancouver scene.

In the past week, I’ve been re-inspired to write some new material — and possibly even perform in the near future.

Watch out Los Angeles, I’m coming for you.

Happy Channukah y’all!

Enjoy this holiday sketch! It will make you feel all sorts of warm and fuzzy.
